cPanel is a web based control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools; designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site in a Linux environment(Linux servers). cPanel utilizes a three tier structure that provides capabilities for administrators, resellers, and end-user website owners, to control the various aspects of a website and server administration through a standard web browser. The cPanel is used in conjunction with WHM (Web Host Manager).
In addition to the GUI, cPanel also has command line and API-based access that allows third party software vendors, web hosting, organizations, and developers to automate standard system administration processes.
The end-users of cPanel will be able to control the number of aspects; like DNS management, FTP accounts, Email accounts, File Manager, Database creation and management, managing PGP keys, CRONJOB tasks etc.
