* Relatively low-cost solution, if purchased through a datacenter etc.

cPanel is the best one we have ever used. Still, You can use CWP for users who can't afford the current cPanel pricing, it provides almost all the features offered by cPanel. You can find the demo installation on their website. It has a FAQ page which will help you sort out any questions and if you've more to ask, then please make use of their forum.

I think Fantastico is amazing as it allows you to install scripts fast and easily. Website monitoring and management can be done in the best possible way through cPanel control panel.

If its linux. I always prefer Cpanel.
If its windows then plesk is best.
However, if you want to same some money you can use plesk on linux too.
Earlier plesk was not available for linux but now its doing good on linux too.

I prefer control panel but I think it's because I was used to it. It took me some time to learn the layout of settings and now I wish they would finish transferring everything from control panel to settings so it's all in one place.

Choosing a control panel depends upon the Hosting plan you choose. Generally Plesk and DotNetPanel are offered along with Windows Hosting plans and cPanel with Linux Hosting plans. Different control panels have there own importance.

I had a good experience using ovipanel.they have provided some modern element that was good to use.
some main elements are,ModSecurity,Server information,Postgresql support,multiple webservers,Softaculous,Webalizer stats,etc

cPanel/WHM is mostly preferred control panel for all. I also prefer as it can be used by everyone who does not have any hosting knowledge. Some other control panel are also there like DirectAdmin, parallel plesk etc.

i chose cPanel. The main reason is simplicity and security. When I buy a hosting service my main purpose is to "wordpress". mostly,when I pick one hosting , I am looking for the cPanel feature after the price .. !

cPanel is the best and userfriendly panel. there are free control panels also available like centos web panel. It provides almost the same features as Cpanel. Direct Admin is also available which is lesser price.

For linux, cpanel while for windows plesk is recommended. If you compare both cpanel and plesk, cpanel is way better than plesk. What I would say plesk had improved alot but it is still lagging behind to cpanel.
