POP3 connection limit on Reseller Hostings

Hello,

We have Reseller Hostings on Hostdime/Surpasshosting. Their support is fast and great. But I have a question to you:

Hostdime allows max 12 POP3 connections per hour from an IP. But if owner of resold account have more than 12 email accounts when he cannot check them in a hour. Or if they have a few email accounts and a few employees when the employees maynot check their emails in a hour(they connect from same IP by different computers). I know there must be some limitations on shared servers. But is this limit rate acceptable? Has your hosting provider a similar limit?

Just to point out, the default cPanel limit is actually 3. So HostDime's limit of 12 is already larger than the default cPanel limit.

If your client's situation is such that he works in an office and many of his co-workers are going to be connecting to the email service simultaneously, your best solution here would be to reach out to HostDime directly, explain your situation and request for them to whitelist the office's IP Address.

Generally there are limit set on the server for the shared and reseller hosting. Because reseller service plan is nothing but the shared hosting plan where there are number of accounts hosted on the server . So they have to share all the resources with the all other accounts. There will be limit for the email accounts, email connections, bandwidth etc. So you should confirm the all these things before ordering the reseller service.
