Windows Cloud VPS Q&A

  • Which versions are available?

    Windows 2012 R2 Standard and Windows 2008 R2 Standard are available pre-installed. We also have two versions of MSSQL Server available.

  • What if I lose my password?

    Our self-service management panel has a VPS password reset feature. With just a few clicks you can regain access to your Windows Cloud VPS.

  • How do I access my Windows VPS?

    Our Windows VPS come pre-configured with Remote Desktop enabled. Clients are available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android - just open your client of choice and login with the IP, username and password we provide.

  • Can I change my Windows password?

    Yes, the password can be changed using the builtin user management facilities. Please see our article on how to Change Windows Server Password for detailed instructions.

  • Can I purchase additional IPs?

    Yes, additional IP addresses can be purchased through our management panel. After purchase, just follow our IP Address Configuration Guide to add the new IPs to your Windows Cloud VPS.

  • How can I prevent brute-force attacks?

    After setting a strong password, it can also help to change your Remote Desktop port away from the default value of 3389. We have a detailed guide on changing the Remote Desktop (RDP) port.
