VPS FAQs

A virtual private server hosting (VPS) is a virtual machine sold as a service by an Internet hosting service. A VPS server runs its own copy of an operating system, and customers may have superuser-level access to that operating system instance, so they can install almost any software that runs on that OS.

With VPS server hosting, you get complete isolation on a physical server for your hosting. Your Virtual Private Server will be unaffected by other users and with root access you can install whatever applications you require on your server. The CPU, RAM, HDD, and Bandwidth allocated to your VPS Hosting package will always be available for your applications. A VPS server hosting gives you all the features of a Dedicated server at an affordable price.

Yes, instances in a stopped state continue to reserve dedicated system resources (RAM, SSD storage, IP aliases, CPU) and therefore incur charges until you destroy the instance. If you wish to no longer accumulate charges for a virtual machine, please use the DESTROY button in the customer portal.

Your bandwidth usage is based on the highest of either your inbound traffic or your outbound traffic. For example, if your VPS server uses 100 GB of incoming bandwidth and 200 GB outgoing bandwidth, your utilization for billing purposes would be 200 GB.

Yes, IPv6 is available in all of our 15 locations!

Every virtual machine comes with one primary IPv4 address. Up to two additional addresses are available for an extra fee.

In some instances, outbound traffic to the SMTP port may be blocked for new accounts. If you encounter this restriction, contact our support team from the customer portal.

We utilize KVM ( Kernel-based Virtual Machine ) on 100% of our infrastructure.

KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a type of Virtualization interface in Linux servers which ensures fantastic performance and security while guaranteeing highly optimized resource isolation. Use of KVM in our VPS Servers allows us to deliver tremendous processing power and throughput that your applications/websites need.
