How do we calculate overall rating?

We believe that less number of rating can mean two things (i) either the company is new and has fewer customer Or (ii) majority customers are reluctant to provide their feedback. Therefore we have set a mark of 40 feedbacks to reach to 100% rating. Any web hosting company which has feedbacks less than 40 can not reach full 100% rating. Our aim is to locate best web hosting company for our web site visitor whether novice or experienced.


Overall rating of a web hosting company is calculated based on 2 components
 
(1)     The first component is "Actual Rating Average Score"; and
(2)     The second component is "Rating Weight age".
 
The "Final Rating Score" is derived by multiplying "Actual Rating Average Score" with "Rating Weight age" for a particular web hosting company.
 
Following Table explain which rating provides actual Rating Weight age.

So if your company has received a rating of 5, and if it has 100% towards Actual Rating Average Score, then their Rating Weight age will be 92%, as per the table explained above.
 
So, "Final Rating Score" will be calculated by multiplication of "Actual Rating Average Score" (which is 100% in this case) with "Rating Weight age" (which is 92% in this case).  Their "Final Rating Score" will be 92%.
 
After a couple of months, the company has received another 20 ratings ... now, they have total 25 ratings in the system. If we considering that these 25 ratings have "Actual Rating Average Score" of 99%,  since they've total 25 ratings in the system, "Rating Weight age" is 96%. So, "Final Rating Score" will be calculated by multiplication of "Actual Rating Average Score" (which is 99% in this case) with "Rating Weight" (which is 96% in this case). Their "Final Rating Score" will be 95.04%.
 
Once a web hosting company has 40 or more ratings in the system, their "Rating Weight age" will be 100% always. We've designed this rating system to make sure that companies with 100 numbers of ratings have more weight age compared to the company with a lower numbers.
